Our Growing Board of Directors

In March we welcomed Thomas Hockin to our Board of Directors. We are overjoyed to welcome Mike Lord as our newest member of SunFarmer’s Board of Directors.

Mike Lord is currently Director of Corporate Services at Northland Power, an independent power producer with clean and renewable energy assets in North America and Europe.  In his role, Mr. Lord leads corporate strategic planning, business planning, and organizational effectiveness initiatives, as well as a team of experts in communications, government relations, and First Nation relations.  He works closely with his colleagues to develop and implement plans to deliver the company’s long term strategy.

Prior to this role, Mr. Lord was General Manager of Renewable Power Development.  In addition to his other management accountabilities in that role, he led the due diligence process in the acquisition of a majority interest in Project Gemini, €2.8 billion offshore wind farm currently under construction off the coast of the Netherlands.  In his previous role of General Manager, Solar Development, Mr. Lord led a team that developed and financed a $700 million solar power portfolio in Ontario, Canada.  

Mr. Lord’s global perspective has proven instrumental in reconstruction efforts in Nepal and we are honored to welcome him to our growing Board of Directors.
